Pred tri godine Jeremy Cowart je došao na ideju da bi kao fotograf mogao nešto vratiti lokalnoj zajednici u kojoj djeluje. Ideja je bila da besplatno fotografira ljude koji si to inače nebi mogli priuštiti, te da im i isprinta fotografije. Ove godine ova akcija se odvija tijekom prosinca, točnije odvijala se 10-og ovog mjeseca i uspješno je okupila preko 10.500 fotografa uz još toliko volontera (frizera, vizašista i sl.). Napredak akcije možete pratiti na help-portrait.com, a do sada je napravljeno preko 101.500 portreta u 56 zemalja. Kako je to u subotu izgledalo u Zagrebu možete vidjeti u ovom videu Help Portrait Zagreb. Osobno nažalost nisam sudjelovao u ovoj akciji iz vrlo jednostavnog razloga. Naime svake godine naša nas direktorica počasti božićnom vikend večerom u nekom domaćem wellness  hotelu. Tako smo se ove godine u vrijeme održavanja ove manifestacije zatekli u hotelu “Kaj” u Mariji Bistrici. No da na neki način ipak sudjelujem u projektu ponio sam rasvjetu te sam uspio napraviti nekoliko portreta svojih vrijednih kolegica. Iako nije Help Portrait u punom smislu izvorne manifestacije nadam se da bar malo prenosi njene dobre vibracije. I na kraju veliko hvala kolegicama na strpljenju i sudjelovanju.

Three years ago Jeremy Cowart came up with the idea that as a photographer he could give something in return to the local community in which he operates. The idea was to free photograph people that otherwise would not be able to afford it, and to give them printed photos. This year the action takes place during December, more accurately on the 10th of this month and has successfully brought together more than 10,500 photographers with the even larger number of volunteers (hairdressers, make up artists etc.). Progress can be viewed on help-portrait.com, and so far over over 101,500 portraits in 56 countries has been made. How did it looked on Saturday in Zagreb, you can watch in this video Help Portrait Zagreb. Unfortunately I have not personally participated in this action for the very simple reason. Every year in our company we are honored by our manager with the weekend Christmas dinner at some local wellness. So we have had it this year  in time of these events at hotel “Kaj” in Marija Bistrica. However, in a way I did participate in the project. I took speedlights and I managed to do several portraits of some of my valuable colleagues. Although not Help Portrait in the full sense of the original event, I hoped to spread a little of it’s good vibrations. Also I would like to give a big thanks to colleagues for their patience and participation.
